Google Swiffy Flash to HTML5 Converter Test

Google today introduced a new tool from their labs that ”converts Flash SWF files to HTML5.” I thought I would give it a try on an old flash demo I did a while at InsiderPages. Below is the result I got from the tool: Looks like Swiffy doesn’t support shapetweens, fscommand, MovieClip.getDepth(), setInterval, MovieClip.createEmptyMovieClip(). Wonder what else it doesn’t support since my animation was a very basic animated demo. The website says that “Swiffy currently supports a subset of SWF 8 and ActionScript...

New Portfolio gallery added

Just a quick warning, this site is currently under a redesign. Over the weekend I had some fun with JQuery and created a new portfolio section. Pretty happy with the design and layout just need to fix the links to the individual portfolio piece pages. So just a warning, the site is still under construction. Green Car Hawaii: Creating An Ipad App

In the short time that I’ve been at Ikayzo I’ve been fortunate to have worked on some very exciting projects including designing several iPhone applications so when a local company called Green Car approached us about developing an iPad application I was very excited. Designing for the iPad I learned is very different than designing for the iPhone and it presented our team and I with several challenges. I thought I would share some our experiences and “lessons learned” in this article where I will focus on how we went...

Social media tools and beyond for musicians at the Na Hoku Festival

Posted by on May 29, 2010 in Dev, Transcendence of our Being | 2 comments

So today I participated in the Na Hoku Festival by doing a panel on social media and a short presentation on ” Tools for Creating a web presence” online. Got to walk to the Hawaii Convention Center from new place and enjoy a beautiful morning. It was pretty great to see the festival kicking into high gear after working with the organizers for months on their website. Things started off really nicely with a panel I was on Social Media with Roxanne Darling and Mike from the Mountain Apple Company. After the panel, I went into my...
