Sunday’s Creative Stroll Part 1

Part of being an artist and designer I have learned is all about training your eye to find a way to communicate ideas visually by finding a new perspectives on things. As I’m getting more into art direction lately I’ve decided to make Sundays my “training day” so to speak. My first creative Sunday stroll started off with a water jogging session at the beach. I took my FlipMino HD cam with me hoping to take some interesting video but alas the footage was just too shaky and unusable. Looks like the FlipMino will need to stay grounded to get good footage. Will take a note of this for next time.

After my beach excursion, a nap on the sand and some yummy lunch I grabbed my camera and set off to take some pictures around my neighborhood. I wasn’t too happy with the results of the photos either but it was a good start. I took about maybe forty pictures and about ten or so stood out to me. Check out the gallery of photos on Flickr.

Well, it was a very nice day to start these creative exercises and hopefully there will be many more that I will be able to share with you. As I’ve learned with today’s Sunday stroll, as things didn’t turn out they hoped I would, it doesn’t really matter as long as you take the time to appreciate your surroundings and enjoy your day.

Until next time.
