The Original Wonders of Hawaii

It has been a little over a month since I have moved to Hawaii and although I knew this was a special place before I decided to make it my permanent residence now so more than ever I have come to one single conclusion — Hawaii is one of the last Original Wonders left on this planet. True, I am still in the “honeymoon” phase of my transition but nevertheless it has become quite evident to me that there exists an energy on this island that captivates everyone who visits it. Island life has taken hold of me and I hope to never go back. And I am not just saying this because of the beautiful awe-inspiring beautiful surroundings…there is more to Hawaii than that. My favorite stories to hear while I’ve been here are about how people came to this island:  “I came on vacation and stayed”, “My father fell in love with a local girl”, “I came here to surf”.  Every single story I’ve heard so far has some kind of magical element. Perhaps one day I will be telling my own story to a new transplant and inspire them to stay. This island has revitalized my soul and I can’t wait to see what it’s got in store for me.
